Georgia (OCP) Owners & Contractors Protective Insurance

The Owners & Contractors Protective Insurance policy provides coverage
for the bodily injury or property damage from the operations of a sub
contractor or independent contractor, performed for or on behalf of the
insured. The insured is either the property owner, general contractor, or
other contractor with independent contractors or sub-contractors doing
work on their behalf.

This coverage is limited to a specific project or contract
and ends when the project is complete or the terms of the
contract are fulfilled. However, the policy is not written for
more than one year at a time so if the length of the project
is more than one year, the policy will need to be renewed
until the project terminates.

The OCP is limited insurance coverage and does not
cover all the operations and exposures of an insured.
An OCP only covers the vicarious liability between the
insured and the contractor. It's limited to a specific
project or contract and only for a specified period of
time.

An Owners & Contractors Protective Insurance policy
contains exclusions that are usually identical in
wording to exclusions found in the CGL policy:
1. expected or intended injury
2. workers compensation
3. injury arising out of employment
4. pollution
